I've always had a passion for nutrition. Growing up, I would spend hours in the grocery store inspecting fresh produce, and learning about new products. Little did I know that I would bring this fervent curiosity towards becoming a registered dietitian when I got older.
After I received my Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I completed my dietetic internship and received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. I specialize in weight management, pre-conception nutrition, gestational diabetes/PCOS, thyroid management, gastrointestinal disorders, eating disorders and pediatrics. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings, such as corporate wellness, clinical, private practice, food service, long term and short term care and rehabilitation centers. I am an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Greater New York Dietetic Association, Jewish Member Interest Group and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals in NYC.
I have been known to be my client's personal cheerleader as I counsel and educate them towards achieving their specific goals and give them the tools to develop a positive relationship with food. My effervescent personality and sense of humor puts my clients at ease, which allows me to develop a special relationship with each and every one of them. I believe in moderation, not deprivation!
I have had the privilege to sit on expert panels, give lectures to parents, children, school faculties and large corporations in New York City. I have been published in the New York Times and have been quoted in numerous publications, including Well + Good, Time Health and the Daily Mail.
